#Saint-Honoré cake from Les saveurs du palais (Haute cuisine)

An amazing movie based freely on the life of Danièle Mazet-Delpeuch as the head cook of the private kitchen of France's Champ Elysee Palace. She was the first female cook in that position so she was faced with a lot of obstacles and naysaying. The movie features a lot of interesting and good looking dishes that are rustic but elegant, some of them are choux farci au samon that is cabbage layered with samon, magret duck, toasted bread with mustard and truffles, fruit pies,tartelettes and the star, Saint-Honoré.
